Hear the choir singing
Might take a few seconds to download. Turn up your speakers.

The Choir has maintained a high standard of choral music for many years in the form of a traditional Anglican choir of boys and men.

Their main duties are to sing on Sundays for the 10.30 am Sung Mass and 6.30 pm Evensong, and to provide music for feast days and special occasions throughout the year.

The Choir does not sing during the summer school holidays or on the Sundays after Christmas and Easter.

They give occasional concerts and usually embark on a singing trip to one of the great cathedrals after schools have closed at the end of July. Members of the Choir can enjoy a week’s non-singing holiday at Pickering in North Yorkshire the week after Easter.

Rehearsals are:

Monday   4.15pm-5.30pm Boys*.

Thursday  6.15pm-7.10pm Boys.*

Thursday  7.15pm-8.10pm Boys* & Men.

Thursday  8.15pm-9.15pm Men.

*Boys are paid up to £20 per term, depending on
attendance. (on the basis of three terms per year).
