Parish News - June

Important Changes to the Website

Parochial Church Council met on 10 June and debated the future of this site.  It decided that the site should no longer be updated on a monthly basis, but three-monthly. This obviously changes the character of the site. Information on the church buildings, service times etc.  will remain, but there will no longer be news of recent or coming events. Magazine and Parish News pages will be discontinued, and a new Website Editor must be found.  The changes will be effective from the end of this month, but if you have any comment to make on the site, we would be very pleased to hear from you, before then.  E-mail to john.duncan3@virgin.net

Looking at the list of coming events below, we seem to be heavy on Cheese and Wine evenings.  Very enjoyable social events, but rather dependent on the weather.  Writing this in late May, the omens aren’t good; a test of our righteousness coming up perhaps?

If cheese and wine doesn’t do it for you, there is the Friends Waldorf Tea, from 2pm to 4.30pm on Wednesday 4 June.  The four venues are
                          34 Gladstone Rd Newbold
                          66 Highfield Lane Newbold
                          43 Brushfield Rd  Loundsley Green
                          7 Lydgate Drive Wingerworth
Admission £5 - worth it just to find out what a Waldorf Tea is.
